Meet Clark
Trained in yoga instruction and the Wim Hof Method many years ago, Clark appreciates the power of facing discomfort and growing through it. He also has children, which teaches him basically the same thing.
Clark graduated from the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture in 2020. He added tuning forks to his practice after training in acutonics with Theresa Lee Morris and William Morris of the Kootenay Sound Healing Centre. Music is a medicine near and dear to Clark’s heart and he welcomes feedback from clients on treatment playlists.
He has had the honour of being a core member of a flotation therapy spa for a couple years. Juggling the front desk and behind the scenes chores in a zen environment honed his appreciation for the adage that “it is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war.”
Raised as an Albertan farm boy and later becoming a certified Permaculture Designer at SAIT, Clark has a rooted belief in diet and nutrition as pillars of vitality. Clark encourages culinary and herbal considerations as medicines in their own right. He loves when people grow food and make medicine, or support others who do.
Building upon the bodywork component called Tui Na included Traditional Chinese Medicine, Clark has taken up Traditional Thai massage. Thai massage is perhaps best described as rhythmic acupuressure combined with passive stretching through yoga postures performed on a large mat with the goals of improving flexibility and range of motion, as well as clearing energy blockages and boosting overall well-being.
